Stop the word, I want to get off!
Damn! I have been out of commission on the worst possible weekend! I have been battling a case of vertigo since Friday afternoon. No, that's a lie. It's been kicking my ass and I've been lying down and taking it. The whole world has been sickly spinning every time I so much as lift my head off the pillow, complete with the requisite nausea and accompanying cold sweats. I couldn't even read without getting sick, which drove me nuts. All I could do was watch some TV and sleep in front of the fan for two days. This evening, I managed to sit up and I've been up for a little while now, but I'm still kind of shaky. I HAVE to go to work tomorrow, so I'm praying it will be gone by morning.The timing was terrible. I wasn't able to follow my best friend sj on her journey through the 24 hours of Blogathon 2006. I read as many of her entries as I could just now, and she did great! I want to read them all again when I'm feeling better. The same goes for Karl's live-blogging from BlogHer. I have lots of catching up to do.
For now, however, I have to go lay back down. Hopefully, I won't veer off into any walls on my way to the couch.

I'm SO glad you were sick!!! I mean, as opposed to all the other possible (BAD) reasons for your disappearance. You know me, always jumping to the worst possible conclusion. I couldn't imagine anything minor keeping you from cheering me on through Blogathon.
Have you gotten to the middle-of-the-night posts yet? There's one on there just for you. I thought, If this doesn't make her comment, then she's NOT READING! And I was right. :>)
Well, sweetie, it wasn't minor, believe me. I felt really awful and then felt worse 'cause I couldn't let you know what was going on.
I was glad to see you had your fans, though. MB and Hilly kept up most of the way.
I didn't mean to imply that your ailment was minor! I meant to say, I KNEW nothing minor could have kept you from checking on my progress. I was just relieved you weren't dead in a ditch somewhere or something.
I'm catching up on 950 posts from the week I was gone. Ouch.
